Our panelists have achieved extraordinary success in their respective fields, and they are excited to share their invaluable insights, experiences, and strategies with you. Here's a more in-depth look at their impressive backgrounds:
th Dan Oppedisano:
Dan Oppedisano is the founder and owner of Bedrock Restoration & Bedrock Plumbing where they focus on interior disaster restoration for both residential and commercial in MN. Prior to starting Bedrock, Dan was an operating principal at Northern Pacific Group where he helped oversee key portfolio companies. Dan joined Northern Pacific Group after 6 years at McKinsey & Company where he was an associate partner in the Minneapolis office focusing mainly on large-scale transformations & turnarounds. Dan credits much of his practical knowledge of smaller & medium-sized businesses to his time working for Marcus Lemonis, a small business investor, where he did everything from AR/AP to warehouse operations to sales. Born and raised in Long Island NY, Dan attended Duke University for undergrad and Wharton for his MBA. Dan and his wife Pilar have been in MN for 10 years and call it home with their 3 young kids. He enjoys working out, playing bad adult hockey and hanging out with his family.

Sam Seehof:
Sam Seehof is the CEO of Utility Management Solutions and Co-Managing Partner of Grand Portage Partners, a holding company focused on acquiring, operating, and growing services businesses. Prior to founding Grand Portage Partners, Sam worked as an investor at Norwest Equity Partners in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Before joining Norwest, Sam was at TPG Capital, a San Francisco-based global investment firm. Prior to TPG, Sam worked at Lazard in New York City, where he provided corporate advisory services to clients in the Telecom, Media, and Technology sectors. Sam got his first taste for entrepreneurship when he co-founded a laundry service company, Lone Pine Laundry, with three friends in college. Born and raised in Minneapolis, Sam attended Harvard Business School for his MBA and received his BA from Dartmouth College. Sam enjoys spending time with his wife Jen and two daughters. Sam can be found biking, running, and golfing in his spare time.

Allison Whalen:
Allison started working on Parentaly in 2018 after she returned to work from her first parental leave and saw how generous paid parental leave policies often backfire by contributing to career regression and attrition of working parents. Today Parentaly works with clients including Intel, Zoom and PwC to provide a career-focused program to improve the parental leave experience for expecting employees and their managers. Prior to founding Parentaly, she spent four years at Managed by Q where she incubated and scaled the enterprise business, and led the expansion team after the company was acquired by WeWork. Previous experience includes private equity and investment banking.
